Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Pharmacist I for the Pharmacy department at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. The position is an hourly, night-shift role within the Pharmacy team.

The Pharmacist I will review and verify medication orders, compound sterile and non-sterile products, supervise technicians, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care. Proficiency with EPIC is required.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy or hold FPGEC with completed internship hours.
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in New Jersey in good standing.
• PharmD or higher degree preferred; hospital pharmacy experience or PGY-1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, perfect, and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
• Dispense medications via unit dose systems and Pyxis; supervise technicians.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile products (IV admixtures, chemotherapy, TPN, extemporaneous preparations).
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring, renal dose adjustments, and medication reconciliation.
• Document clinical interventions in EPIC; communicate with physicians and nurses.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and hospital policy adherence.
