Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Night Shift Pharmacist to safely prepare, compound, and dispense medications in accordance with NYS and hospital policies. The role involves optimizing drug therapy, working within the inpatient care team, and supervising a pharmacy service area.

Responsibilities include narcotic inventory management, verification of TPN orders, sterile product preparation per USP 797, and active participation in rounds and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy and be licensed in NY.
• Board certification in relevant area highly desirable.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care per patient needs and department policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe handling and distribution of narcotics and controlled substances.
• Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile IV products and medications.
• Participate in rounds and provide pharmacotherapy-related input.
• Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission standards and drug information services.
