YESCO, North America’s largest sign company, seeks a Permit Specialist I for the Sacramento area. In this part-time role you will research municipal sign codes, prepare and submit permit applications, and coordinate with city/county offices to keep projects compliant and on schedule.

You will support sales and project teams with code guidance, track permit statuses, and maintain records. Strong communication and organization are essential to ensure timely approvals and accurate documentation.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6 months of permitting, clerical, or municipal experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with local government processes is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Office systems.
• Ability to interpret basic municipal codes and write concise application materials.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Research municipal sign ordinances to determine permitting requirements.
• Prepare, submit, and track standard sign permit applications.
• Communicate with municipal planners and permitting staff to resolve basic questions.
• Assist in preparing conditional use, variance, or zoning applications when required.
• Post approved permits and permit fees to internal records.
• Attend planning or zoning hearings as necessary for simple permits.
• Provide general permitting support to sales and design teams.
• Maintain digital and physical records of permit documents.
• Participate in training and development on code interpretation and permitting processes.
