Job summary

YESCO, North America’s largest sign company, is seeking a Permit Specialist I to support sales and project teams in researching sign codes, preparing permit applications, and coordinating with municipal offices in the Sacramento area. This part-time role helps ensure code compliance and smooth permitting for sign installations.

You will review ordinances, prepare basic applications, track statuses, and assist planners as needed. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with local government processes is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Office essential.

Responsibilities

• Research municipal sign ordinances to determine signage allowances by location.
• Prepare, submit, and track standard sign permit applications.
• Communicate with municipal planners and permitting staff to resolve basic code-related questions.
• Attend planning or zoning hearings as necessary for simple permits.
• Maintain digital and physical records of permit documents.
