Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Night Surgery Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse (RNFA) to assist, monitor, and manage day-to-day patient needs under physician supervision. The role supports General Surgery with cross-service coverage including vascular, urology, plastics, ENT, and orthopedics.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, orders and interpretation of tests, safe prescribing, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program (AMA-accredited).
• Graduate of NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program for NP path.
• Licenses required: PA license and NCCPA; NP license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under supervision of a licensed physician.
• Perform and document history and physicals appropriate to patient age and problem.
• Order, perform, and interpret labs and imaging with physicians as needed.
• Prescribe medications per policy and NJ regulations; educate patients.
• Collaborate with physicians to promote practice recognition and high-quality care.
