Job summary

Covington Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking full-time Registered Nurses for day and night shifts to work with adolescent patients (ages 5-11) in Covington, LA. Sign-on bonuses of $10k for days and $15k for nights are offered.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license valid for state of employment.
• Minimum one year nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience preferred.
• CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs to coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families.
• Administer medications accurately and document counts.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the treatment team.
• Provide unit leadership and ensure adherence to policies.
