Job summary

Camber Mental Health in Olathe, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for pediatric mental/behavioral health. The RN provides assessments, medication administration, and care coordination for youth in a 7pm–7am rotation.

Full-time and part-time options with strong shift differentials help support critical inpatient services. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, document thoroughly, monitor vital signs, and participate in treatment planning to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification.
• Strong understanding of child development and pediatric mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments and documentation within required timelines.
• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor vital signs per policy.
• Administer medications, including psychotropic and PRN medications, and document accurately.
• Monitor infection control, respond to injuries and emergencies, and provide first aid as needed.
• Communicate with physicians, guardians, and treatment teams regarding patient health.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all medical interventions, orders, and records.
• Partner with staff nutritionist to meet patient dietary needs and report allergies.
• Participate in treatment planning, staff training, and patient education groups.
• Assist with lab specimen collection and ensure timely pharmacy coordination.
• Support safety and wellbeing by following all procedures and protocols.
