Job summary

Camber Mental Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for pediatric mental/behavioral health in Olathe, KS. The role spans full-time and part-time shifts, offering competitive benefits and meaningful clinical work with youth in a multidisciplinary team.

You will administer medications, perform assessments, document meticulously, and collaborate with physicians and guardians to support patient health and safety.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong understanding of child development and pediatric mental health.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments and document within required timelines.
• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor vital signs per policy.
• Administer medications, including psychotropic and PRN, and document accurately.
• Monitor infection control, respond to injuries and emergencies, provide first aid.
• Communicate with physicians, guardians, and treatment teams regarding patient health.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all medical interventions, orders, and records.
• Collaborate with staff nutritionist to meet dietary needs and report allergies.
• Participate in treatment planning, staff training, and patient education groups.
• Assist with lab specimen collection and ensure timely pharmacy coordination.
• Support safety and wellbeing by following all procedures and protocols.
