Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Safety Technician (Float) to support the Nursing Resource Department. This role involves collaborative patient assistance under RN supervision, clerical tasks, and ensuring a safe, clean unit.

The PST-FLOAT will monitor patient conditions, report changes, assist with ambulation and daily activities, and maintain confidentiality while following infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment with excellent organizational, customer service and prioritization skills required.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient needs under RN supervision within a collaborative team.
• Perform clerical duties to support unit operations and maintain a well‑supplied, safe patient area.
• Report changes in patient condition to the primary nurse and notify RN/LPN of patient concerns.
• Call emergency codes when needed and ensure patient safety during care.
• Assist with ambulation, mobility, meals, and room safety checks.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and protect patient confidentiality.
