Job summary

Sentara Health in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring Patient Care Technicians to float between Sentara RMH Medical Center and Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital.

The role supports admission/discharge, assists with bathing, walking, blood draws and foley care, and other nursing tasks under a nurse's supervision.

Requires a high school diploma; CNA/NCMA/NCPCT certification or related clinical program experience; candidates must live within 75 miles of two hospitals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous direct care experience preferred.
• Candidates must live within 75 miles of two of the three hospitals named above.

Responsibilities

• Support the admission/discharge process.
• Change, bathe and ambulate patients.
• Draw blood.
• Foley catheter care.
• Meet patient needs under the direct supervision of a nurse.
