Stormont Vail HealthCare in Topeka, KS is hiring a Safety Monitor/Patient Sitter to support nursing teams during 12-hour night shifts. You will monitor patients, document observations, and report changes to the RN/LPN, ensuring safety and patient comfort.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, teamwork, and adherence to infection prevention and privacy standards, with competency check within 90 days and a preference for prior patient care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Implements identified plan through coordination of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to achieve expected outcomes.
• Obtains verbal reports from the patient’s nurse with care needs and considerations.
• Communicates data timely and records data legibly; notifies nurse of changes.
• Provides patient comfort, safety and assistance with ADLs as directed.
• Promotes infection prevention through standard precautions and hygiene.
• Upholds caring relationships and respect per Watson's Theory of Human Caring.
• Remains with the patient unless instructed otherwise by the nurse.
• Assists with lifting/movement of patients as directed by the nurse.
• Fosters a respectful, ethical and inclusive work environment.
• Practices Diversity, Equity and Inclusion daily and respects others' differences.
