Job summary

The ideal candidate will have started an accredited nursing program or completed a medical assistant/patient care technician program; alternative certifications may substitute education.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program (Required) or
• Completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program (Required)
• A certified Clinical Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA, CNA, EMT or PCA certification may substitute for education (Required)

Responsibilities

• Implements identified plan through coordination of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to achieve expected outcomes.
• Communicates pertinent patient data to staff in a timely manner.
• Promotes infection prevention through standard precautions and wound care.
• Assists with activities of daily living and records vital signs.
• Demonstrates caring relationships and ethical practice per Stormont Vail Health standards.
• Mentors new PCTs, supports students, and engages in ongoing learning.
