Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of clerical, registration, or customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register inpatients and outpatients for the health system and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Enter patient details accurately in the computer system with correct personal data and medical record numbers.
• Balance cash drawer as part of the end-of-day process and collect co-payments or deposits when applicable.
• Explain facility policies and obtain consent for treatment and insurance forms at the appropriate time.
• Provide coverage across departments and assist with other duties as assigned by Management.
• Maintain knowledge of administrative policies, procedures, third-party coverage, and required documents.
