Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Behavioral Observer at the Cleveland Heights Health Center to provide continuous patient observation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role may involve monitoring more than one patient, either in person or via a video monitoring system, while upholding the system's mission and customer service standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and completion of MetroHealth-required training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; must complete MetroHealth training before duties.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire; existing Behavioral Observers should possess certification by 12/31/2017.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant patient observation under RN direction, may monitor more than one patient, in person or via video. Uphold MetroHealth System mission and values.
