Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services is hiring immediately for a part-time Patient Observation Assistant at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco, TX. Shift is 11:00 pm–7:30 am, Sunday through Saturday with rotating weekends.

Prior related experience is preferred but not required; CPR/BLS certification within 30 days if required. The role focuses on visual and audible observation of assigned patients under RN supervision, ensuring safety, completing reports, and responding to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides visual and audible observation of assigned patients under RN guidance.
• Monitors patient condition and behavior at all times and completes observation reports.
• Assists with patient care and ensures safety, responding to emergencies and relaying information to medical staff.
• Remains at the bedside and participates in hand-offs and patient transfers as needed.
