Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Patient Representative to support patients and families by facilitating communication, coordinating resources, and enhancing the overall patient experience. The role operates nights, 7pm–7am, in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will resolve concerns, connect patients to services, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal care plans while upholding HIPAA and patient rights standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the public.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between patients and families and the healthcare team.
• Coordinate resources to support patient needs and improve satisfaction.
• Serve as a liaison to address concerns and connect patients to services.
