Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The role supports team communication, mobility assistance, feeding, hygiene, and catheter care when needed. Prior acute care exposure is preferred, and BCLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of acute care experience or currently enrolled in a nursing program preferred
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record patient data including vitals and report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Ensure infection control practices and proper PPE usage.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and safety protocols.
