Job summary

Required credentials include a state-approved PCT program or active Michigan CNA license with Phlebotomy Training and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Patient Care Technician (PCT) program or active Michigan CNA license plus Phlebotomy Training.
• BLS certification required before start date and valid for at least 60 days beyond start date.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with a plan of care and basic clinical tasks.
• Perform phlebotomy according to protocol and lab workflow.
• Provide psychosocial support and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document care provided and patient status per unit guidelines.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the RN.
