Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. You will assist RNs with hands-on care, monitor vital signs, support mobility and daily patient needs, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The role involves supporting in a small unit and floating to other units as census fluctuates, with three 12-hour night shifts weekly. CNA training and acute care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Assisting with vital signs, mobility, and personal care.
• Supporting RNs with monitoring conditions and carrying out care plans.
• Willingness to float to other units as census fluctuates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas clean, stocked and safe for efficiency and infection control.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control.
• Communicate kindly with patients and care team to support safety and quality.
