Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I/II to support nursing teams in providing compassionate patient care within a hospital setting. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, observation, and collaboration with RNs to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED is required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days as a condition of employment.
• Must read, write and communicate in English clearly; basic computer skills; medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of the RN; communicate observations promptly.
• Maintain constant observation for high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assist in daily living activities and safe patient handling.
• Perform routine tasks to support patient care and safety.
