Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days as a condition of employment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes in patients.
• Maintain constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Contribute to a safe environment and assist with de-escalation when needed.
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, ambulating, meals, and nourishment.
• Assist in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients using proper safety techniques.
