Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 6CD Detox unit. The role supports patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and supervises direction from the Lead/Charge Nurse.

Regular weekend and holiday shifts are required, with potential shift rotations. Starting wage is $17.60 per hour with scheduled increases; candidate must complete UTMC Healthcare Tech training and maintain CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• Must complete UTMC Healthcare Tech training and maintain CPR/BLS.
• Active CNA/STNA certification on state registry at time of application.
• May pass Skill Assessment to waive Healthcare Tech course.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting patient needs under RN direction.
• Follows guidance from Lead/Charge Nurse and Nursing Director.
• Performs delegated duties per established methods and procedures.
• Potential to work weekends and holidays and rotate shifts/units.
