Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 6CD Detox unit. This role supports patient needs under RN supervision, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Starting wage is $17.60 per hour with regular increases. Weekends and holidays may be required, with possible shift rotation. Training and CPR/BLS certification are mandatory or already held for a qualifying candidate.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Will be required to attend and successfully complete the UTMC Healthcare Tech training course and maintain CPR/BLS certification thereafter.
• Candidates with current CPR/BLS certification AND at least one of the following are not required to attend the UTMC Health Tech training course: CNA/STNA on state registry, recent nursing program graduation, or equivalent experience after passing Skill Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and assists in meeting the needs of the patient under RN direction.
• Follows directions from the RN, Lead/Charge Nurse, Nursing Director/Assistant Nursing Director, and House Supervisor.
