Job summary

MUHA in Charleston, SC is seeking a Patient Care Technician who reports to the Nurse Manager and operates under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to perform multi-skilled tasks that support a decentralized, patient-centered approach to care and outcomes.

Minimum training includes a High School Diploma for PCT I; PCT II requires additional education or experience per MUSC CHS criteria, BLS within 2 weeks of hire, and ability to work 3 twelve-hour night shifts weekly (weekends/holidays).

Qualifications

• Patient Care Technician I: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Patient Care Technician II: High school diploma/GED and ONE of the following: Associate or Bachelor's degree; 1 year PCT I MUSC CHS experience; 1 year healthcare facility experience; RN school enrollment with Nursing Fundamentals complete; healthcare-related field enrollment; CNA/ CMA certification.
