Job summary

Memorial Health Care Center in Owosso, MI is seeking a Nursing Support professional to assist staff nurses with patient care, admissions, discharges, transfers and post-operative tasks.

You will provide personal care, document interventions in the EMR, assist during meals, respond to call lights, and help maintain a safe, clean unit. CNA or EMT preferred, HS diploma, and current BLS are required.

Qualifications

• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• CNA certification or EMT license may be required depending on role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills necessary for EMR.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers and pre/post-op care.
• Provide personal care (hygiene, ambulation, ADLs) as assigned.
• Perform routine treatments and specimen collection; document changes.
• Document interventions in EMR.
• Assist patients at meals and with nourishment.
• Make rounds, respond to call lights, hourly rounding.
• Maintain a safe environment; stock supplies; report equipment.
• Assist physicians as requested.
• Attend in-service education.
• Maintain BLS, competency and safety training.
