Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical team members at the Philadelphia site. The role supports telehealth encounters and collaborates with multiple clinical departments.

The position requires adaptability to a 7pm–7am shift, 36 hours per week, and teamwork with a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope.
• Knowledge of caring for patients from diverse backgrounds.
• BLS Certification required upon hire.
• Shift: 36 hours per week, 7pm–7am.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs validated and designated direct and indirect patient care activities to meet patient care needs under direction of licensed clinical team members.
• Actively promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment available to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds as assigned, anticipates patient needs, and answers/responds to patient call light or pages promptly.
• May be assigned the role of a virtual safety associate as needed based on campus needs.
