Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support patient care and perform clerical duties. The role includes assisting the patient care team with exams, obtaining patient data, coordinating admissions and transfers, answering phones, and delivering specimens to ensure smooth operations.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification prior to direct care. On‑the‑job training is provided; previous hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills, ability to read and write, and communicate or respond to inquiries.
• CPR certification prior to performing direct care; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient care team with exams and procedures, obtain patient data and support direct patient care.
• Coordinate scheduling of procedures and manage admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Answer phones, take messages, direct calls, and transport specimens and documents to support operations.
