Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence – East Campus is seeking a patient care support professional to assist nursing staff with patient care activities and comfort, including hygiene, vital signs, and meal services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• None required experience; preferred 6 months acute care/clinical experience.
• Completion of a nursing assistant program.
• Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• CPI Certification within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services.
• Assist with personal hygiene, take vital signs, and change bed linens.
• Serve and collect food trays, provide between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a clinical setting.
