Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the part-time night shift to support the nursing float pool. The role involves direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians, with emphasis on safety, patient comfort, and workflow efficiency.

You may participate in telehealth-enabled or bedside care, conduct rounds, and respond quickly to patient needs. This role requires a High School diploma, BLS, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs; ability to work within an interprofessional team; strong communication and safety awareness.
• BLS - Basic Life Support; willing to complete LVHN's required training as an inexperienced partner.
• Physical demands include lifting 40-50 lbs and frequent standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Support safety and efficiency in unit operations and equipment readiness.
• Conduct patient rounds, respond promptly to call lights, and assist with patient transport.
• Coordinate with telehealth or bedside teams as needed for patient care.
