Job summary

Endeavor Health's Highland Park Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Emergency Department night shift. This full-time role (36 hours/week) offers exposure to acute care tasks, patient flow support, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe, timely care.

The ideal candidate will have CNA training, BLS, and clinical rotation experience, with strong teamwork and basic computer skills to document patient information and respond to urgent needs during night hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program is preferred.
• At least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing is preferred.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Support flow of care and assist with patient needs during night shifts.
• Assess patients and document information with accuracy.
• Communicate with healthcare team while wearing PPE when needed.
• Assist with patient transfers using equipment for non-emergency lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Work under pressure to meet patient care needs and maintain safety.
• Utilize patient movement equipment and perform routine duties during shift.
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to isolation and safety protocols.
