Job summary

Medical City Dallas is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Night shift in a part-time capacity. You will support Registered Nurses in delivering hands-on care, assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily needs to create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will join a collaborative nursing team, contributing to care plans and ensuring patient comfort and dignity. The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and adherence to infection control practices in a high-volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CNA or PCT certification preferred.
• 1+ years hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Education
