Job summary

Northfield Hospital Obstetrics in Northfield, MN is hiring a part-time Nursing/Nursing Support role to partner with nursing staff and provide direct patient care and clerical support. This position serves pediatric to geriatric patients and requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to multi-task during night shifts.

You will perform daily care activities, assist with admissions and transfers, document care accurately, and help with unit safety and communications.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Registered in good standing with the Minnesota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry (NAR).
• AHA BLS for Health Care Providers within 6 months of hire.
• CPI certification within six months of hire.
• Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter.
• Ability to multi-task and professional demeanor.
• English communication skills.
• Prior nursing assistant or HUC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clerical support in the obstetrics unit.
• Observe and document patient status and report changes to RN.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Document daily activities and care provided; assist with meals and mobility.
• Communicate with patients and care team in a compassionate manner.
