Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT seeks a Patient Care Tech to support a telemetry unit. Under Nurse Leader supervision, you will assist with direct and indirect patient care, ensuring safety and a positive patient experience.

No experience required; on-site training is provided. BLS certification within 60 days is preferred, and opportunities for advancement exist through the clinical ladder and certification-supported pathways.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-site training provided.
• Must obtain/maintain BLS provider credential (AHA) within 60 days.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior acute care experience preferred.
• Current BLS credential preferred.
• CNA/CPCT/A/EMT/CMA certification eligible for ladder advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities under supervision to support safe, quality care.
• Assist with direct and indirect patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Support the care team in a fast-paced telemetry unit and adapt to changing priorities.
• Participate in the clinical ladder for career advancement based on experience and certifications.
