Job summary

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under supervision of a nurse, including ADLs, vital signs, intake/output, urinary catheter care, venipuncture or point-of-care testing as requested.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education and documents care activities with proper terminology.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet patient needs.
• Contributes to patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
