Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care, monitor conditions, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of PCT/CNA experience and must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of starting. This role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and patient dignity.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent PCT or CNA experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
