Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support licensed clinical staff on a 12-hour shift schedule, including holidays and weekends. You will assist patients across the lifespan with basic treatments, procedures, and equipment in accordance with hospital policy.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of patient care experience and a current Basic Life Support certification. CNA or PCT program certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of patient care experience required, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
• BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
• Certification from a Patient Care Technician program preferred

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
