Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Partner to support multiple nursing units within the Nursing Resource Pool. This flexible position works nights 7pm to 7am and provides essential patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Primary duties include aiding admissions and discharges, assisting with bathing, ambulation, vital signs, and basic procedures such as blood draws. A supportive team environment and ongoing learning are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• One of the following certifications or training programs listed in the job posting.
• Experience in health care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support admission and discharge processes.
• Provide patient care including bathing, ambulating and comfort measures.
• Take vitals and assist with blood draws as directed by a nurse.
• Work across multiple nursing units in the Resource Pool under supervision.
