Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for the Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit, 3 East, to support inpatient oncology patients with ADLs, vital signs, and hospice care. The role emphasizes teamwork and bedside care in a rigorous hospital setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and be able to work nights. The unit includes cross-training for Bone Marrow Transplant and close collaboration with RNs, LPNs, and providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a team and show good judgment, flexibility, initiative.
• Current AHA BLS certification or obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• ADL's performed by patient care technician.
• Vital signs and bladder scans monitoring.
• Hospice and palliative care involvement.
• Time management, critical thinking and delegating responsibilities.
