Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant to support nursing staff and ensure patient comfort on the Medical ICU unit during night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Rotating weekends and some holidays apply.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, transporting patients, performing EKG and phlebotomy duties, and documenting care. Opportunities for education and advancement are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required within new hire period.
• Nursing students: BLS certification prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing caregivers, promote patient comfort and carry out nursing orders.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, bed or stretcher.
• Conduct EKG and phlebotomy duties.
• Attend to patient and family needs and problems.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, toileting and hygiene.
• Report pertinent information regarding patient condition to appropriate nursing staff.
• Assist in tray setup and feeding; restock supplies daily.
