Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Assistant to join the unit on the Nights shift. You will perform clerical duties, support RN staff, and help with phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, and basic respiratory functions.

You will interact with physicians, patients, families, and coworkers with professionalism and compassion, ensuring accurate communication and safe, efficient patient care within a patient-centered framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a recognized Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT Training Program.
• BLS certification required; CNA/CMA/EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes and communicates orders and messages accurately.
• Maintains patient records and documentation per policy.
• Assists RN with patient care tasks and safety.
• Operates and maintains essential unit equipment and supplies.
