Cleveland Clinic Health System is hiring a Patient Care Nurse Assistant for the Thoracic Surgery Stepdown unit at the Main Campus in Cleveland. This night-shift role (7:00 pm–7:30 am) involves assisting in patient care, monitoring, and support under RN supervision in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes hands-on patient care, safety, and teamwork on a specialized thoracic surgery unit, with opportunities to grow within a leading healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained during new hire period.
• Military experience such as Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
• If you do not hold BLS, you must obtain it during your new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, including vital signs, daily living activities and transfers.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.

Education

High school diploma or GED

BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Military experience (HM/68W/4N0X1) will be considered
