Job summary

MemorialCare in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Patient Care Assistant I to support patient care under RN supervision. You will perform basic patient care, assist with daily living activities, document data in the EMR, and help maintain a clean, safe patient environment.

This full-time night-shift position offers a pay range of $23.00–$30.80 per hour and a $1,500 signing bonus for external hires, contingent on requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent Acute Care experience preferred.
• CNA certificate or minimum of one (1) year nursing assistant experience or currently enrolled in Nursing Program with successful completion of at least one semester preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to safely, timely, and competently perform assigned duties.
• Follows directions and communicates with the RN and other healthcare team members.
• Collects and documents information in the patient’s electronic medical record and notifies RN of changes in condition.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Provides patient-centered care and supports family/significant others as needed.
• Interacts professionally and contributes to a positive and respectful care environment.
• Prioritizes tasks and collaborates to ensure safe patient care delivery.
