Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking a Night Shift Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for a full-time role. The PCA delivers patient care under the direction of an RN, assisting with hygiene and daily living activities while supporting quality patient care.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, aiding with showers and dressing, and transporting patients for procedures or discharge. The role emphasizes collaboration within a patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or 6 months of direct Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Tech experience, or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing divers perspectives.
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing.
• Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge.
