Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for a full-time, day-shift role. The PCA will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to support daily living activities, hygiene, and patient comfort in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or 6 months of experience direct Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Tech, or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing.
• Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge.
• Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms.
