Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to work nights within a full-time schedule. The role focuses on providing patient-centered care under RN supervision, assisting with hygiene, daily living activities, and mobility.

The PCA will respond to call lights, assist with patient hygiene, transport patients for procedures, and maintain clean patient rooms, contributing to high-quality, compassionate care in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification or 6 months of direct Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Tech experience or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing divers perspectives.
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing.
• Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge.
• Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms.
