Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for night shifts. This full-time role supports RN-directed care, helps patients with hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living to ensure a safe, compassionate patient experience.

You will respond to call lights, assist with transfers, and maintain clean patient rooms while working within a team that respects the mission. Weekend and holiday scheduling follow the CBA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification or 6 months of direct Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Tech experience, or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing divers perspectives.
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing.
• Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge.
• Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms.
