Job summary

Trinity Health Muskegon is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the 9th floor night shift, 7pm–7:30am, with every other weekend and rotating holidays. This role supports RN-directed patient care, hygiene, and daily living activities to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, assisting with showers and dressing, transporting patients for procedures or discharge, and maintaining clean patient rooms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or 6 months direct PCA/Nurse Tech experience, or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation, or enrollment in Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral, with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights or by rounding for assistance.
• Provide or assist with personal hygiene including showers and dressing.
• Transport patients for procedures, transfers or discharge.
• Maintain a clean and uncluttered patient environment.
