Prime Healthcare seeks aPatient Care Assistant at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL. This full-time night-position supports care delivery in the Tele Med/Surg department, assisting patients with daily living activities and basic nursing tasks under the supervision of an RN.

The schedule includes 7p-7a shifts with rotating holidays, offering a comprehensive benefits package. Minimum requirements include CNA certification and knowledge of medical terminology; preferred phlebotomy and EKG

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Education

Phlebotomy certification

EKG certification

BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire

Medical Terminology knowledge

Six months acute care experience

CNA state-approved certification

High School Diploma or equivalent
