Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Holy Family Medical Center- LTACH in Des Plaines, IL is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) for full-time nights, 7 pm–7 am with rotating weekends. You assist patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the RN on duty to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

This role requires a valid Illinois CNA certification, current BLS. Phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification (Illinois approved) required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• EKG certification preferred.
• BLS (AHA) current within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum six months acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Help maintain a safe environment on the unit.
