Job summary

Altru Hospital in Devils Lake, ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant for 36 hours per week on straight nights. You will support licensed nurses with direct patient care during admissions and discharges, following physician orders and delegated tasks based on your training.

You will monitor patient condition changes and communicate promptly with the Nurse on duty. Responsibilities include basic cares, patient transfers, and transportation, with required Nurse Aide and BLS certifications to ensure

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide certification required with ND Board of Health eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant works under the direction of a licensed nurse in direct patient care.
• Performs procedures per physician order and nursing delegation based on validation and skill.
• Identifies changes in patient condition and communicates to the Nurse immediately.
• Assists with basic cares, transporting and patient transfers.
